James Pallister is a journalist

He is Senior Editor, at the Architects' Journal.
There he edits the culture section, writes a weekly column works across its contract publishing offering and develops the AJ and the Architectural Review's online portfolio

Alongside Nick Hayes he was one of the founding editors and publishers of the award-winning MEAT Magazine


He has written for Creative Review, Grafik, Press Gazette, Crafts, Computer Arts, Eight:48 and Kilimanjaro,
edited publications for the Hannah Barry Gallery,taught at Sheffield University and lectured in Berlin.

He was educated at The University of Cambridge, New College Durham and St Leonard's RC Comprehensive, Durham City.
